Organic waste generated from campus cafeterias, canteens, and other food consumption areas is collected and processed systematically according to established procedures.
Vegetable waste oils generated in the cafeterias are delivered to licensed and authorized companies for disposal in accordance with environmental regulations.
Additionally, a designated collection area within the campus facilitates the composting and recycling of garden and landscaping waste. This practice supports on-site waste valorization and contributes significantly to the principles of a circular economy.
Through this integrated approach, Sakarya University continues to contribute to sustainable waste management not only within the campus but also on a regional scale.
