Campus facilities for disable, special needs and or maternity care

Sakarya University, recognized with the Barrier-Free Flag Award, provides a comprehensive infrastructure to ensure that individuals with disabilities can live safely, independently, and accessibly on campus. The university offers elevators and ramps for individuals with disabilities, facilitating transitions between floors and building entrances, while wheelchair-accessible pathways across campus provide unobstructed movement.

Dedicated parking spaces and charging stations for electric mobility aids support convenient daily transportation for individuals with disabilities. Accessibility barriers and Braille-encoded emergency evacuation instructions in buildings are designed to enhance safety and ease of navigation. Tactile guidance paths are available for visually impaired individuals to help with independent navigation and audio emergency exit systems for safe evacuation. Accessible restrooms are equipped with specialized voice assistance systems to meet personal needs quickly.

For those with hearing impairments, induction loop systems are installed in certain areas to facilitate more transparent communication. Academically, reader and marker services are provided during exams to support visually impaired students, ensuring equal opportunities. Additionally, the campus has a Support Unit for Visually Impaired Individuals to assist with specific nives; Sakarya University fosters an inclusive campus environment through these initiatives to enable individuals with disabilities to access academic, social, and daily life areas without barriers.
