Sakarya University conducts a sustainable program to protect the campus's flora, fauna, and agricultural diversity. Thanks to the photo traps placed in the campus forests, images of wild animals such as Felis silvestris (wild cat) and Lepus europaeus (wild rabbit) were recorded, and the campus fauna was cataloged in detail Campus fauna catalog. Bird and bee hives have been placed to support wildlife, and there are five areas for bees raised on the campus. In addition, local plant species are grown in the campus Plant and Tissue Research Laboratory, and various vegetables are produced in the greenhouse area. This program aims to ensure the long-term protection of the university ecosystem and the sustainable continuity of genetic resources.
