Inorganic Waste Treatment

Sakarya University manages inorganic waste in accordance with national legislation and its internal sustainability policies. The university promotes source separation to ensure effective collection and recycling processes across all campus units. Dedicated recycling bins for paper, plastic, metal, and glass are placed in academic and administrative buildings, dormitories, dining halls, and other shared spaces.

The collection and transfer of these recyclables are carried out in collaboration with licensed waste management companies. Furthermore, hazardous inorganic waste such as batteries and electronic waste is collected through specialized containers located throughout the campus and is disposed of according to environmental regulations by authorized firms.

These efforts are part of the university's broader zero-waste strategy and aim to reduce the environmental footprint while increasing awareness among students and staff about responsible consumption and waste separation.
